| As you leave the village of Quiliano you can easily go upstream along the course of the torrent Trexenda for few kilometres; following the directions for Roviasca. The road starts going upward after youve crossed a bridge, you then reach the hamlet of Roviasca and keep going along the road that now is no longer asphalted. The well-beaten road bed and the shelter of he wood make the way up an accessible cycling route. After a short aphalted ramp you reach a flat tract. On the left hand side there is a turning for Colle Baraccone. After two more kilometres of easy track you reach an open space which is an excellent panoramic site. Ignoring the turning, which leads up to the top of Mount Baraccone, you take the road on your right, quickly descending the hill and you find yourself in Altare; by the tunnel of the pass. The last straight stretch of the road leads directly into Altare - 398 mt (Km 16) one of Val Bormida towns well known for its local glass industry. A place to visit is the Museum of Glass and the Art of Glass Making dedicated to the traditional handicraft glass manufacture. | |||||||||||||||||||
